IPC-A-610

IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies is the most widely used standard published by the IPC.

It has an international reputation as the source for end product acceptance criteria for consumer and high reliability printed circuit assemblies.

 

IPC-A-610 application specialist training consists of 7 modules:

 

Module 1

General (Section 1.0) Applicable Documents (Section 2.0) Handling Electronic Assemblies (Section 3.0)

 

Module 2

Soldering (Section 5.0) High Voltage (Section 12.0)


Module 3

Component Damage (Section 9.0) Printed Boards and Assemblies (Section 10.0)


Module 4

Terminal Connections (Section 6.0) Recommend M2

 

Module 5

Through-Hole Technology (Section 7.0) Jumper Wires (Section 13.0) Recommend M2 and M3


Module 6

Surface Mount Assemblies (Section 8.0) Jumper Wires (Section 13.0) Recommend M2 and M3


Module 7

Hardware (Section 4.0)
 

Minimum is Module 1 plus one other. Maximum is all modules.

 

Course Duration: 3 Days if all modules are required; otherwise duration varies according to the number of modules required.

 

A working copy of the IPC-A-610 standard will be made available to each participant. It is strongly recommended that a standard is purchased for each participant to take away for future reference.

The IPC-A-610 Application Specialist course is most suited to quality personnel especially inspectors and quality engineers and managers.
